Some Kind of Hero

Sergeant Derek Rison has returned home after serving two tours in Iraq only to discover his apartment and belongings are now nothing more than ashen memories. His hope of regaining some normalcy in his life is no longer an option. While contemplating his next move, Derek meets a sweet waitress named Jordan Minx. Jordan feels there is nothing left to do but offer Derek a place to stay after hearing his dilemma. Their attraction is immediate and before long they are sharing more than just a few hot glances.

But the story that Derek isn’t privy to is the one starring Jordan and her scum boyfriend Randy. Will the truth be too much for the Sergeant with the big heart to bear; or will it make him become the hero Jordan desperately needs?

Michelle Cary’s Some Kind of Hero is a story filled with love and passion. Sometimes it’s nice to know that people will judge you for your heart. Jordan is a caring woman whose self esteem has been damaged at the hands of her boyfriend. Derek is strong, determined and fearless when it comes to the woman he loves. He was unwilling to leave Jordan and wanted to shelter her from her source of abuse. Derek’s small gestures allowed Jordan to experience firsthand how a real man treats his lady love. Their chemistry in and out of the bedroom was an ideal blend of tenderness and fervor. When Jordan finally exhibited a bit of backbone, I found myself pumping my fist in triumph. Ms. Cary has written a story about love, determination, and combating abuse. Some Kind of Hero is a story you don’t want to miss.
