Bedside Manner

After working a long shift the last thing E.R. nurse Sara Delaney needs is to come face to face with the high school jock that took her virginity and left her heart broken. But Alex offers something her life is sadly lacking: sex. No strings. Alex Conrad has never been told no and when he gets no from Sara, well that just makes the challenge of bedding her all the more exciting. There’s just one thing he’s not counting on. Sara is far more than he ever bargained on and now that he’s had a taste he can’t get enough.

Bedside Manner is the second book in the Delaney stories and having read the first I was very much looking forward to this one. Sophia Rae didn’t disappoint. Sara is a full- figured, all female woman who is just a little self-conscious of her size and certainly doesn’t see her own appeal. I loved this take charge woman with the little insecurities. She might not be that confident in her feminine wiles but in everything else she knows who she is and what she wants. From the moment Alex starts his pursuit I watched with rapt attention as she grew into a very self-confident woman who wasn’t afraid to take charge anywhere; including the bedroom. Poor Alex had no clue what he was uncovering when he finally got Sara’s clothes off. Bedside Manner is a hot, sexy read that doesn’t leave out any of the romance. I loved watching this pair fall deeper and deeper. As an outsider I had to laugh at them; with all their protesting against anything more than sex they really were deluding themselves. But then sometimes the best things are right in front of us and Alex and Sara quickly work out that what they have is far better than just a roll across the sheets. Sophia Rae has me eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Delaney’s.
