Deadly Sins I is a collection of novellas previously released individually. They’re now being published in anthologies. The first takes a look at the sins of Anger, Envy and Sloth. Each story is held together by the legend of Agrippa; the legendary books made from human skin each house a demon from hell. The three stories included in this anthology are different in style and it’s quite refreshing to see the different slant each of the authors take.

In Anger, Lexxie Couper tells the tale of Ira McKenzie and Ricki Sullivan. Stumbling across each other in the most unlikely of places they dive head first into a passionate affair only to have their love and lives threatened when Ira becomes the guardian of the Agrippa.

In Envy, Kira Stone has Oliver St. John hunting for the legendary Agrippa in Brazil; he never expected to find the man of his dreams as well. Raphael Georges Pedro Martinez must stop Oliver at all costs. If he doesn’t one or both of them will die.

In Sloth, Eve Vaughn takes a close look at a selfish woman who has spent her entire life letting others do all the hard work. Billie Cartwright would do anything for her sister, including sacrifice her own happiness. Grant Jorgensen will do anything for Billie, but walking away and letting her sacrifice her life for Felicity isn’t one of them.

I enjoyed all three of these tales, each different yet connected. It’s a showcase to the authors’ talents that they are able to produce such complex and different stories all based on the same legend.
