Oblivion

Mai is very determined to help her Empress defeat the Dark Lord. Mai must face her fear in order to do her part in the plan to defeat the evil in their world. Mai dislikes men in general but she reacts differently when she is around Lieutenant General Rosuke. She is also learning to control her magical powers and how to defend and fight for her Empress. Who is her teacher but Rosuke; what is Mai to do but try and face her fear. Mai might get a little help in facing her fear from the Divine One. Will Mai accept her true feelings and will the plan to defeat the Dark Lord?

Rosuke has lived through three hundred years of Blonde rule because of a curse. Now he has to live down what he has done to survive for the past three hundred years. Rosuke is attracted to Mai but she doesn’t seem to want him. Rosuke is now on the chase for Mai. He has to have her. He has a secret that he hopes will never come out. He is afraid he will lose any chance he has to win Mai if she finds out of what he truly was when he was cursed. Will Rosuke ever forgive himself?

Ruby Duvall has done an awesome job of bring this story to the readers. Oblivion is the sequel to Caught in the Devil’s Hand which is also a fabulous story. While one is a natural sequence of the other, they can fully be understood as stand-alone reads. Oblivion will take readers on an emotional roller coaster ride that they will never want to end. Mai and Rosuke’s love story will have them panting for more. Ms. Duvall gives the readers what they want and so much more. She hooks the readers with her unique stories and surprising twists with the characters. I truly enjoyed reading Oblivion and cannot wait to see what she will come up with next.
