Waitin’ On a Hero
Everyone in town seems to think the local mysterious vigilante called the Night Watcher that stops crimes and leaves the criminals for the police is a hero except Finley Gallagher, until he saves her from a violent attack. Now she can’t seem to get the sexy crusader out of her mind. And then there is her sexy neighbor that she is secretly attracted to. If only he weren’t such a womanizer. Trace Fairbanks doesn’t know why Finley isn’t interested in him but he knows she is someone special, if she would just give him a chance. But Trace is more than Finley’s neighbor; he is also the Night Watcher so he is striking out as both of his personas. Finley just doesn’t seem to be interested. Can Trace convince Finley that he is really a nice guy? And what would Finley do if she knew Trace was the Night Watcher she is so critical of?
Waitin’ on a Hero by Sydney Somers is a really cute yet sensual book. The dilemma Trace faces trying to attract Finley to both of his personas leads to some interesting situations. Finley is feisty and independent and won’t be easy for Trace or the Night Watcher to win over. But he still tries to seduce her as both himself and as the Night Watcher. But I don’t think Trace thought about what he would feel if Finley did fall for both of them. Can you be jealous of yourself? On Finley’s side, thinking that she is very attracted to two different men leads to some confusion on her part also. The “super hero” persona of Trace gets him into some sticky situations and some are humorous. Both of his personas are very sexy and the sexual scenes with Finley are sensual and titillating. I have not read anything by Ms. Somers before but I love her sense of fun so I will be looking for other books by her in the future. If you want a fun, cute, but sexy story and you love super heroes, then Waitin’ on a hero is for you!
