Sam Jones is ready to spend some time relaxing at his cabin in the woods after months without a day off and all he needs to do before leaving is drop his apartment keys off to his friend and partner Nick. It sounds simple enough but before he knows it, Sam is on the way to his cabin with Laura, the healer from Nerak who appeared from the distant planet on a mission to find a cure for a Nerak elder who has fallen ill after a couple Earth people landed on the planet.

Sam agrees to take Laura with him to his cabin and assist her in her search for a cure but he’s having a hard time controlling his attraction to the woman who he thought was an angelic goddess when he seen her in a hologram and now believes her to be haughty, exasperating but still the sexiest woman he’s ever seen.

While Sam and Laura work on discovering a cure while keeping their attraction under control, they get a visit from one of Sam’s neighbors who turns out to be a Nerak interplanetary explorer that had been reported as being killed years ago and is Laura’s grandmother.

The Bad Boys Guide to the Galaxy by Karen Kelley is another fantastic book that features the travelers from Nerak. The interactions between Sam and Laura had me cracking up! There was also a lot of heat with this couple that kept things humming.

The plentiful characters throughout this story add a lot of drama and action while the smooth writing style keeps it all tied together perfectly. I had been eager for Sam’s story since I finished Cosmic Sex and the wait was worth every minute. Ms. Kelley’s name will continue to be at the top of my favorite authors list. I think that readers will truly enjoy this story. 5 Angels!
