Conflict of Interest by J.M. Snyder is a homoerotic contemporary romance.

Alec had sent his name in to volunteer at St. Catherine’s Youth club, and when they finally returned his letter, he had a few reservations. When Alex arrived at St. Catherine’s, he is greeted by a run down center in a bad part of town that gives him cause for concern. Father Nate matched Alex with Jamie, the most beautiful man that Alex had ever seen with the most compelling blue eyes. The first time they met, Alex soon realized that Jamie is more than a hand full. Between the chip on his shoulder and the sexual innuendos, Alex has his hands full between controlling his feelings and fending off Jamie’s behavior. In spite of this, Alex sees something more to Jamie and can’t stay away. Will Alex ever find the real Jamie that hides behind the street mask or are they fated to be apart?

Ms. Snyder has created a compelling story about one man who dared to look beyond outward appearances and find someone who could become the love of his life. Jamie appears to be nothing more than a street punk, but with patience and love he could find everything he ever wanted, love and acceptance. The plot line shows the streets as the cruel taskmaster that they are, and how the people living their can become it’s victims unless others, like Alex, give their time and energy to help those in need. The conflicting situations and emotions pull at the reader drawing them into the plot as it unfolds. Thanks go to Ms. Snyder for another emotional and compelling story.
