Fiddler on the Woof

Fiddler on the Woof by Blayne Edwards is an erotic paranormal romance.

Aubrey can’t believe that it is a new academic year and she will have to basically spoon feed and support the incoming freshman starting with the one presently asking for help. However, she is in for a surprise. The man asking for help is none other than Dr. Joseph Bolinger, the protégé and master violinist, who is working for the college for one semester. Aubrey is drawn towards him as she has never been to any other man in her life. You see Joseph isn’t your average man; Joseph is incredibly brilliant and half human/half wolf which makes it difficult to fit in. Joseph has always followed where his musical abilities went, but when he meets Aubrey, the wolf part of his personality begins to make its needs known. The desire to take its mate fights with all the teachings from his father to insure that his mate knows about him before things get hot and heavy. That is difficult for Joseph when Aubrey makes it clear that she wants to become intimately involved. During their first date, Joseph brings Aubrey to a shattering climax, but denies her giving him the same pleasure, much to Aubrey’s dismay. Joseph fights his primal feelings to take what is his, returning home to ache with his need for Aubrey because he is unsure how she will react when she learns the truth about his true self. Can Aubrey accept Joseph as he truly is or will their differences be too overwhelming for her to handle?

Ms. Edwards has created an interesting story incorporating the world of the paranormal with the classical music. It was fascinating how Joseph used the violin to show Aubrey his feelings and the way the music enhanced and supported their building lust for one another. The description of how the wolf song created a beautiful and primal sound brought the music to life for me. The primal feelings between Aubrey and Joseph struck a cord in man’s deep need for a mate. Joseph showed control of a man much older than his age in his understanding and patience with Aubrey as she struggled with understanding his world. Thanks go to Ms. Edwards for an interesting read.
