Daniel Chandler didn’t want many things in life, but the thing he wanted most of all, his best friend Jeff, he could never have. He tried to resist, he really did, but in the end he fell head over heels with his best friend and band mate. The only problem is that Jeff is married and doesn’t have a clue about his feelings- they are best buds all the way. For his part, Jeff is caught in a marriage that isn’t what he hoped for and a wife who seems to want only to revel in the rock star image. Danny tried to get over Jeff by hooking up with his friend, but all he got out of it was a one night stand that left a bad taste in his mouth and a feeling that he had betrayed Jeff. Finally one fateful night Danny can’t stand it anymore and he makes his play for Jeff, who doesn’t know what to make of the feelings that erupt between them. Things start to spiral out of control as Jeff fights his feelings for Danny. Danny gives him an ultimatum, but as it is usually seen, ultimatums have a way of backfiring. Will Jeff ever come to grips with his feelings or will it be too late for them?

L.F. Blake has created an extraordinary story about the struggle of one man to come to grips with his true feelings and then have the courage to fight for what he wants. It is incredible how the storyline evolved around the band and how each character played their parts so clearly. Jeff’s wife Lani was the true description of a groupy out to get whatever she could by whatever means she finds necessary. I truly empathized with Danny, whose only flaw was to fall in love and refuse to walk away until it was almost too late. It must have been incredibly hard for Jeff to come to grips with his feelings, but in reality he did take advantage of Danny. In the end, Jeff was willing to fight for what he wanted, but then it was Danny’s choice. Read this incredible story about two men who go through hell, but in the end hopefully find that what they had is still strong enough to give them a lifetime of happiness. Thanks go to L.F.
