Guardian’s Redemption

The Guardian of Storm and Killer of Shadow, Arim Valens, is more powerful than anyone before him. Yet he has one weakness, his nemesis and ex-lover, Dark Lord Lexa Van Nostren. For three hundred years, ever since one tragic event shattered their love, they have battled each other. Now Tanselm, the magical land they call home, needs their help. If they are to save Tamselm from being taken over by evil, they need to get over their hatred, face their true feelings, and work together. It is a thin line between love and hate for Arim and Lexa, but Arim is tired of running from his feelings. He plans to make Lexa his again, and he will do everything in his power to redeem himself and get back the only woman he has ever loved.

The Storm Lords series by Marie Harte is one of my favorites, and Guardian’s Redemption does not disappoint! Finally the wait for this story is over, and I cannot be more pleased. I loved every second of it. Arim has always been the character I have been drawn to and now even more so. He’s not the perfect hero who can do no wrong, and I love that about him. He is stubborn and arrogant, but at times he can be so vulnerable it makes him a very lovable character. Lexa is a heroine I can find no fault with. She is the perfect match for Arim. Lexa hides her true feelings behind a wall of ice. Some of her scenes left me crying; I actually hurt for her after what she has been put through. With an incredible secondary cast, many of whom I hope get their own books, and a nail biting final conflict, Guardian’s Redemption is the best yet. I laughed, and cried, and I finished the book with a smile on my face. I can’t ask for much more than that when it comes to a book, and I sincerely hope that this is not the last we see of Tamselm and her amazing people.
