Azazel

Alexia is bored. Men, demons and vampires from all walks of life have tried to bring her down, but no one has been able to defeat her or arouse her. Wishing for a challenge, her prayers are answered in the form of a confident demon by the name of Azazel. They harmlessly spar, demon and vampire, with no harm done. But Alexia’s curiosity is piqued: who is this demon?

Dante is one of Lucifer’s most powerful demons. When his assignments bring him near Alexia, his libido is sent into overdrive. One look at the beautiful, feisty vampire and Dante knows he wants this vampire assassin.

Then, one of Alexia’s friends disappears and she’s all business. The two work well together, searching for her friend, but can they make this blossoming relationship work? Are they able to make it more than just demon and vampire assassin?

Azazel is author Dawn McClure’s debut novella. It’s the first story in her Fallen Angel series. Her storyline grabs readers from the first page and doesn’t let go. In Ms. McClure’s world, there are good demons and bad, good vampires and bad. Some are worthy of existence. The rest need to be hunted and slayed, sending them into their own afterlife.

The heroine, Alexia, is not only vampire, she’s vampire (and demon) hunter. She’s intelligent, feisty, and fiercely loyal to friends, even if it could potentially mean the loss of her job. The demon Azazel is the perfect complement for Alexia. He’s dominant, sinfully sexy, won’t take any flak from her, and is just as forthright as she is. Together, this duo of vampire and demon has great chemistry, sizzle with sexual tension and work well together to seek the evil that lurks in the shadows.

Azazel is a fabulous first turn out for Ms. McClure and I, for one, cannot wait to read her next installment to what looks like a wonderful series.
