My Fair Monster

My Fair Monster is the second book in the Monsters in Hollywood series. I would recommend that you read them in order; otherwise you are missing some vital information and a really good book.

When three gorgeous men walked into their office the lives of Jane and her four friends changed forever. The men weren’t men at all but monsters. Monsters that needed their help—help to save their people from extinction. One of these monsters, Michael, has taken a special interest in Jane. He sees the passion simmering below the surface and he is determined to bring it out. Jane is scared of the monsters even as she finds herself more and more attracted to Michael. But can Jane get past Michael’s other aspect, one that he has never revealed?

I love this series. I thought the first book was good but My Fair Monster tops it by a mile. Filled with the same great characters that we loved from the first book this one focuses on Jane and Michael. Even the names are ingenious: Jane who tries to be the calm, controlled, slightly frigid woman that she thinks that everyone wants her to be. Not the woman of passion that Michael seems to think she hides beneath her façade of professionalism. Michael is just a delicious character all the way around. The mystery surrounding his monster shape, the sexually virile human form he takes, and ironically his name relates quite well to his monster shape. The story is peppered with hints and it won’t take the discerning reader long to figure it out but the journey to Jane discovering his monster is well worth the time. This is one sensual, sexy read that is packed with erotic scenes that highlight each step of Jane’s journey to self discovery and Michael learns something along the way as well. I can’t wait until Lila Dubois finishes the next in this wonderful series, even as I was surprised at the direction she was going, if what she hinted at in the end of this one holds true.
