Vertigo
Simon Saint-Saëns fights the evil lurking in his city. He is a hunter that the demons of Vertigo fear. Simon has special powers he cannot explain, and a past full of secrets he holds close to the vest, never allowing anyone in who could learn about either. That is until he met Jaden Cole nine years ago. The handsome young man he saved still haunts his dreams, and Simon misses the one person who made him feel whole. He never got over Jaden’s death, but now he has to come to terms with a new bit of truth. Jaden never really died. In addition, not only is he back, Jaden wants Simon to be honest about his feelings. He wants the love of his life to accept their relationship and allow him into his heart and home. Is Simon ready for a future designed for two? They will have to ban together for the next battle with Vertigo’s creatures. A new evil has taken control and he will kill any opposing force.
Vertigo is book I in the Vertigo Chronicles series.
M. L. Rhodes is an author on a mission. She delivers action, suspense, romance, and erotically laced sex then dribbles in a tiny bit of mystery in Vertigo. What is not to love about these characters? Simon is a brooding force when it comes to the demons that endanger humans. Handsome, strong, and special powers to boot there is nothing like a man who knows how to work the sword he was born with and the cold steel he wields while fighting. Jaden is just as dark and dangerous as Simon, and will do anything to protect the man he loves. He has come a long way in nine years, no longer the innocent; he’s ready to show Simon how the big boys play for keeps. I loved the fact that he didn’t allow hatred to harden his resolve, and focused on the love he felt for Simon to be a guiding force. If you love a bit of fantasy mixed with your male-male love stories, then Vertigo is just what the doctor ordered.
