One Silent Night
There is so little I can say about this book without ruining it for fans. If you haven’t read Acheron then there are spoilers ahead.
Satara is gone and Stryker is bent on revenge; despite how it would all turn out. When his worst nightmare returns with a twist his plans go seriously off kilter. However, he’s having a hard time caring.
How could you love a villain? Throughout the Dark-Hunter series Stryker has been the evil supreme villain that the heroes have been fighting. How in the world can someone like that be sympathetic to the fans of this series? Well, I don’t know how, but Sherrilyn Kenyon did it. And she did it well.
We are treated to a different side to Stryker and are shown why he was as horrible as he’s been. Not only that, but we are given glimpses of a softer side whenever he is in contact with his ex-wife Zephyra.
This is another character that was really hard to like. The way she storms in and is just horrible is, well, horrible. But, by the end of the book… Let’s just say that Ms. Kenyon shows us how wonderful of an author she is. I was shocked and amazed by the transformations in both Stryker and Zephyra. I would love to see where the series goes next. There are a lot of other Dark-Hunters out there with no souls, but how can they find them after Acheron? See, I am truly frothing for more!
