Gwen Mosely’s life changed the night she found a wounded, unconscious man in the woods behind her house. Jarvis Donahue is use to waking up in the medical ward not a comfortable bed with a sexy woman watching over him. Jarvis could easily get use to waking up this way but knows that he’ll never see this woman again. But before Jarvis can leave, he discovers that Gwen’s brother is a warrior just like him and knows that he must stick around and help him train for his future. And any thoughts that Jarvis has of getting closer to Gwen must be put aside because if she ever learns what he is and that he’s planning to take her brother away, she would hate him and possibly betray his secret.

Darkness Unknown is the fifth book in the Paladin series by Alexis Morgan and a fabulous read! Gwen was a strong, intelligent heroine that held her ground and took everything that came at her with grace. Jarvis was strong, compassionate and downright yummy. When Gwen and Jarvis get together it’s passionate, hot and very sexy.

Ms. Morgan has created a fascinating series and Darkness Unknown is a great example of that. Each story gets better and better and I would hate to miss a single book. If you’ve ever read any of the Paladin series then you know what a treat it is and if not, you need to pick one up today. I highly recommend this book and the series!
