When he agrees to staff a kissing both at a charity carnival, Evan figures he’s making a sacrifice for a good cause. With a failed marriage behind him as well as a string of disastrous dates, he has finally determined that he’s gay, so a kissing booth is not exactly his idea of fun. And in spite of his well-intentioned friend’s suggestions, he’s certainly not hoping to score a date of out it. However, when the gorgeous guy that he met at the dunking booth shows up at his kissing booth with a smile and a hand full of tickets, Evan figures that maybe this hasn’t been such a sacrifice after all. By the end of the day, Evan finds that he has hit the jackpot in more ways than one.

Addison Albright’s Cow Pie Bingo is a lighthearted story about a man’s first gay experience. It is a quick but fun read and the reader can’t help but like the main character Evan. This poor guy is feeling a little bit lost, because he has been harangued into manning a kissing booth even though he’s gay. He is determined to make the best of things, which ends up paying off for him in a pretty big way, both in terms of his love life and in terms of the carnival. The charity carnival setting is very colorful and is described in terms that make it seem like a lot of fun, especially the game of cow pie bingo that has been set up. This reader had never heard of cow pie bingo before reading this story, but the thought of betting on where a cow will leave a deposit in a field strikes a funny note. Cow Pie Bingo will definitely leave readers with a grin on their face.
