Asher and the Elevator Romp
Asher and his boyfriend Derek are getting ready for a night out on the town. But, Asher is delaying their departure from the hotel, after all looking that good takes time. Derek is a bit miffed but the irrepressible Asher decides to turn that frown upside down by showing Derek just how good he can be in the elevator ride down.
Well, how much can you really say about a story that is truly less than nine pages long? In this case, quite a bit. Asher and the Elevator Romp was a tiny taste of delicious goodness. My main complaint is that it just whets the appetite for the author’s work and then leaves you craving more. Of course, that is the idea behind the Torquere Press A Sip…line, giving you a nipple and then leaving you hungry. In this case it worked. I went and bought the other short story about Asher just to get a bit more. Derek and Asher work great together with Asher knowing how to push all Derek’s hot buttons. Derek is more of a foil for Asher and his antics than a strong character but I may feel that way due to the short nature of the story, or it may be because Asher is so much larger than life. Hilarious really since Asher is all of 5’ 3” nothing. Honestly, and I have no idea if this was the authors intention, Asher reminds me of those flamboyant drag queens you see at the Gay Pride celebrations. Out, Proud, and Loud and I just loved him!
