Dark Elves 5: Discovery
This is a homoerotic story and contains male on male sex acts.
The Raedjour, known as the Dark Elves to the human world, have been out of the darkness for the past seventy five years. But, much of their world remains a mystery to the humans. Kinig, a bard, wants to change that. He leaves the marked paths, a thing that has resulted in the deaths of many in the past, and approaches the Dark Elves with a proposition. He wants to come and learn all that he can of their world and in return he will spread whatever stories that the Raedjour want the world to know. Truth or Lie.
Human males historically have not faired well in a life with the Raedjour, their innate sexual allure is a difficult thing for men to handle. The resulting confusion and sexual addiction usually drives the men insane. But, Kinig is a lover of men and when he is paired with a sponsor, Fallil, it is with great delight that the two find that they are compatible in so many ways. But, only women can be changed to Raedjour and their love is doomed. Fallil encourages Kinig to return to the world of humans and spread their lore.
But, it is this very knowledge that brings Kinig to the attention of a dangerous mage. Ale’tone is the last of his kind, a type of white elf whose God created them to be cold creatures who seek knowledge. Ale’tone will stop at nothing to discover every bit of knowledge that Kinig has on the Raedjour. Can Kinig and Nialdlye escape Ale’tone’s clutches? Will Kinig and Fallil be reunited?
In this, the fifth offering in Jet Mykles’ delightful Dark Elves series, we follow the story of Kinig, a human bard who makes the dangerous decision to become an expert on the mysterious Dark Elves. Kinig is a wonderful character. Full of the love of learning, sensual and open in his affections, he was an easy character to like. Fallil, as his elven lover, was sweet and at the same time sex personified. While the relationship between the two men was fun to see it was really the plot arc of Kinig’s adventures after he left the caverns and went back into the human world to spread the stories of the Dark Elves that held my attention. Nialdlye and Ale’tone were exciting additions to the mythos of this already interesting world. Filled with a few new characters and lots of beloved old ones Discovery was a very enjoyable read that I couldn’t put down. I love this series and hope that the intrepid Jet Mykles will continue to allow us to visit the Raedjour and their world, especially since Discovery opened up so many new plot arcs.
