Riding the Rail
Forty year old Serena Adams takes the El train every morning to work, and this morning is no different. Like always all the other Chicago commuters invade her space as they too try to get to their jobs. Serena’s morning is about to get very interesting when she bumps into a very handsome younger man who looks exactly like an Abercrombie and Fitch model. Because Serena and her mystery man are so close to one another, they avoid their bodies touching. Soon the train ride becomes very sexual between them, and before Serena does something she will regret, she reaches her stop and quickly leaves her seductive stranger still very hot and bothered.
Serena will see her lusty stranger yet again, because Julian St. Claire and she will work together on a project. The chemistry between them is just as intense as it was on the train, now even more so because Julian wants to continue where they left off. Even though Serena tries to remain professional with Julian, she becomes putty in his hands and their workspace becomes a sexual escape for them both, stealing moments of passion together when they can. Serena doesn’t want to give up the passion and sex she shares with Julian, but if they are caught, her job could be on the line. Serena also can’t get past the age different between them. Julian doesn’t care that he is thirty and almost ten years younger then Serena. He wants it all and won’t let her go.
Riding the Rail is one hot and intense sex romp that steams up the pages! Can I say how lucky Serena is to have Julian at her disposal? And the fact that Julian adores Serena, even though she thinks she is too old for him, makes their romance all the sweeter. Julia Devlin has written a wonderful character in Julian. He is a woman’s dream come true and he sure has a way with making a woman think she is the most desirable thing on the planet.
The sex scenes are so very, very naughty, but oh, so good. Even though this is a short read, Julia Devlin has done a wonderful job bringing insight to the characters and their feelings, and why they act the way they do. I also loved how Julian was able to break down Serena’s defenses with his own definition of tender loving care. Riding the Rail is one romance that brought up the temperature in my room and don’t be surprised if the same thing happens to you.
