David and Seth are strong, dependable, smart men who are sexy and handsome in his own way. They rely on their brains to get them to the top and neither wants to destroy his career. Their mutual desire to bask in the heat of their shared passion makes a weekend in each other’s company too tempting to pass up. I knew from Seth’s initial reaction that he was harboring feelings for David, but he was scared of jeopardizing his career. David was wearing his heart on his sleeve, and while he wanted Seth, he didn’t want to force the issue. This response gave me more respect for David and made the events that unfolded afterwards that much sweeter to read. Hunter Raines has written a wonderful short story. A Gentleman's Bargain is a tale about dreams and the sacrifices made to see them come to fruitation, found when you least expect it, and protecting what you hold dear to your heart.
