Common Powers 2: Rush in the Dark

Who knew a dark alley could bring you the man of your fantasies? Surely not Brian Russell, a PI currently staking out an alley for his current assignment. However, his fantasy cowboys pale in comparison after one good look at ranch owner Rush Weston. Brian sees the effect love has on his best friend Mitchell and hopes to gain the same kind of happiness. Rush has no room in his life for more than a quick roll in the hay and until he met Brian, has deterred all attempts at relationships and love. He knows that Brian is the one but his stubbornness may drive the man who makes him ache away forever.

Brian and Rush have a great deal to overcome in Common Powers 2: Rush in the Dar. Brian is sure of his sexuality and only uses his closet to hang his clothing and store his boots. Rush, on the other hand, seems to have built a walk-in designed to hold him, his clothing, and his true desires. I can understand why he had trouble admitting who he really was, and felt sorry that he had to live through it. Love and respect are key and mold our impression of ourselves. And Rush is no different from the rest of us. There were times where I really wanted to shake him, but then he would try to make up for the damage he was causing. I’m happy that Brian was a patient man or things could have gone wrong and they both would have lost out on the love they deserved. Ms. Lynn Lorenz brings back Sammi and Mitchell for our enjoyment, and allows us to watch as Sammi moves to the next phase of reclaiming his life. Sammi and Mitchell are the main characters from the first book in this series, Common Powers 1: Soul Bonds. This is a wonderful story designed to educate and entertain. If you loved the first installment, then you don’t want to miss Common Powers 2: Rush in the Dark.
