Freyja has a pet ghost cat that she will do anything to save. Her landlord is determined to evict her and bring in an exorcist for the ghost, and Freyja has just three days to save her cat. Freyja has discovered a spell that would free her cat’s ghost from its location but she needs a man for this one; the spell needs sex magic to be powerful enough to work. Shane is under a faerie curse and has three days to find a woman who will fall in love with him or he will cease to exist. Freyja and Shane meet and are instantly attracted to one another, but can they get to know each other quick enough to solve both their problems or is someone destined to fail?

The Wiccan Kitten is a very well done short story! Sometimes an author can’t quite convince me that a relationship can develop that fast in a short story but this one works great! Freyja and Shane are both under a deadline that puts this romance on the fast track. Freyja just needs one night with Shane to generate enough sex magic to save her cat, but Shane needs Freyja to fall in love with him without having sex first! Those are not similar goals and Shane can’t tell Freyja anything about the curse he is under. But this is a romance story so there must be a workable solution and I love what Ms. Saville comes up with! The story is humorous, charming, and definitely twisted. I loved it! What a perfect, wicked tale for Halloween. If you want a quick, funny, and entertaining Halloween tale instead of a scary one, then The Wiccan Kitten is just right.
