After receiving a phone call from his childhood friend, Isabelle, Grant Kent decides to drop by and pay her a visit on his way to his new job. Grant knows something is wrong from Isabelle’s tone of voice and is determined to find out what it is before he leaves her life once again.

Isabelle Carson knows something is wrong when her friends start dying, but she’s been to the police on several occasions and they don’t believe there is a problem. Isabelle called to check in with Grant to make sure he was ok, never expecting him to show up on her doorstep and now that he’s here, she’s afraid he’ll be the next to die.

No Escape by author Shannon K. Butcher is an exciting, suspenseful ride that goes from zero to sixty on the first page. The action stays steady throughout the entire book but never overshadows the character development. No Escape was the first book that I have read from Ms. Butcher but I can assure you it won’t be my last. I’m eager to read No Regrets and No Control, both in which Grant makes an appearance.

No Escape is a first class romantic suspense that satisfies from beginning to end and one that shouldn’t be missed.
