Private Dances

Dale, aka Dee, is an exotic dancer. It’s not his dream job but it pays the bills better than any other job a struggling college student could find. When he is asked to perform a private dance for two well paying customers Dale has no idea how this normal occurrence will change his life.

Adriano “Gen” Genovese is wealthy, successful, and only in town on business. But, when a client wants to conclude their business transaction in a strip club, Gen has to agree; after all he needs to make the customer happy. But, the dancer that performs for them is different, not yet jaded by the lifestyle and something about him draws Gen like a bee to honey. Gen and Dale are from two very different worlds, but can they find a common ground to met upon and make a future together?

Let me begin by saying that BA Tortuga is one of my favorite homoerotic authors. Let me rephrase that: BA Tortuga is one of my favorite authors in any genre. I love the skillful way that she sets up a story, the delicious characters, the slow build to a satisfying climax, (in more than one sense of the word) and the smoothness of her writing. Out of all her stories that I have devoured I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. Sure I have enjoyed some more than others, but there have been several that are just fantastic. Private Dances is one of the fantastic ones. I loved how the story played out. I love how Dale was willing to be with Gen but wanted to make his own way in the world at the same time. How many people would feel that strongly about the need to be independent when they have someone willing to meet their every wish and desire? Gen was probably my favorite character; it was easy to see why Dale fell under his spell so quickly. Tall, dark, and handsome, and any cliché you can think of in between. He was so sexy and hot, I would have gladly let him eat crackers in my bed any day. Private Dances is a book that I will happily pull out and reread just to make my day brighter. I highly recommend this story for anyone who loves a good love match.
