Cameron West’s life has been interrupted by the request of Jeremy, a vampire. He wants Cameron to help his young sister. Cameron doesn’t want any part of it because she is too young for him. However, months later he finds himself on a trip to Montana for some rest and relaxation. On his journey his car breaks down, and he runs into none other than Jeremy’s sister Celeste. Immediately, Cameron is drawn in to help her situation, although he still feels love cannot develop between the two because of her age. What he doesn’t know is that Jeremy has enemies, and they know she is the way to get to him. Can Cameron protect her and show her what love is, or will it be too late for all of them?

Help Her had a very unique storyline, and Hailey Briggs did an excellent job with the character and plot development. The ending was a tad disappointing, but did not ruin the overall story. Celeste’s situation will pull at the reader’s heartstrings, making her somewhat memorable. Cameron’s reaction to Jeremy when he first called to him was exceedingly realistic, and I think plenty of us who, if contacted by a vampire, would react in very much the same way. This is definitely a book worth reading, and I will be looking to see what other stories this author has written.
