Grounded

Patty is your average, all American girl. On her way home from her last day of work due to downsizing, a couple of teenage boys run into her and she dumps her box of belongings on the ground and to top it off breaks her heel. This is obviously the worst day of her life! Not only did she lose her job, but she realizes there’s no way she’ll be able to pay her bills unless she finds another job—TODAY. Her day starts looking up when she runs into a gorgeous hunk, a gentleman who helps her pick up all of her belongings.

Dion is the God of Wine and Revelry. He’s rich, owns his own company and parties constantly with a new woman every night. He’s not going to settle down, despite his mother Aurora’s interference. His mom is so desperate for grandchildren that she has been watching for the perfect woman for Dion for years. And she’s finally found her in Patty, the young woman he helped pick up her belongings and later gave a card to come to his company to apply for a job. Despite his hesitation to do so, Dion hires Patty to work for him as his personal assistant, which includes traveling. The first trip being to Italy, the romance capital of the world!

Grounded was one of the cutest stories I’ve ever read! I absolutely loved it! I really connected with Patty with all of her nervousness, stammering and clumsiness. What normal girl wouldn’t want to have a God in love with her? Ms. McGaha has penned a very well written, funny and entertaining short story that will have you swooning and completely head over heels for the characters. I enjoyed this story so much that once I started reading, I didn’t stop until it was finished. Overall, this story had a very well written plot and flowed smoothly from start to finish. I will definitely be watching for more books by Rie McGaha!
