Bounty hunter Freya Daniels isn’t a person you would expect to accept an assignment as a chaperone for a group of young werewolf debutantes. The event is sure to have an abundance of fantastic food to keep Freya away from carry out. Not to mention, the battles that are a better workout than any gym membership could supply. She has resigned herself to the background and forgotten what a beauty she is, until a submissive wolf named Rayne Stratsson has a problem taking her no as the final answer. Rayne is submissive, not stupid, and recognizes Freya as his mate. But, there’s a catch to getting her claws on Rayne and his name is Fenris Modhirsson. Fenris, Rayne’s Alpha, is more than willing to share for a steep price. When Rayne and Fenris finish with Freya, she will be granted a gift she never thought to possess—truly unconditional love.

Mya has definitely delivered a mixture of romance, action, and moments of self acceptance in A Guardian's Desire. I understood Freya’s apprehension to the situation. Her mother is a strong and capable leader, but lacks the skills of a proper nurturing provider of love. She could benefit from a few semesters in parenting courses. I believe Freya’s childhood warped her marriage and children genes, but thank goodness, they are still intact. Rayne is submissive, but he holds true power in his position. While he does bend to Fenris and his needs, when push comes to shove, the big Alpha will listen to him without hesitation. Then we have Fenris, who is just utterly delicious. I will be the first to admit, there is nothing hotter than an Alpha who knows when to retract his claws, and show his gentler side. The story had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation from the first battle to the last sentence. I’m hoping Mya will build from these characters and bring us more pack stories. I hope that the debutantes, who did a great deal of growing up in just a few short days, will be the first to come back for our enjoyment. A Guardian's Desire is a wonderful story that you don’t want to miss.
