Goldilocks and His Three Bears
Brian moved to LA hoping for a new start and a place to call home. What he got was Daddy, Momma Bear, and Scott. Leather clad Paul aka Daddy is a Harley-riding dominant with a heart of gold. Jim affectionately known as Momma Bear has a gift for growing things and can maneuver around the kitchen like nobody’s business. Bisexual truck driver Scott prefers to bottom out, but knows how to enjoy a woman’s company. When Brian met Paul, he didn’t imagine he would fall so hard. Paul’s job takes him out of town, and gives Brian the opportunity to meet Jim. Then, Jim’s need for solitude leads Brian to Scott’s company. What started out as a night at the bar and a chance meeting with Paul has turned into a home filled with three bears and a very submissive Goldilocks.
The title alone grabbed my attention for this book. I usually stray away from books that are similar to children’s fairytales, but were happily surprised when I read Goldilocks and His Three Bears. The title and number of participants are where the similarities begin and promptly end. Brian’s circumstances have him relocating, and LA seemed to be the best place for a person refusing to remain in the closet. Paul saw a potential submissive, but he also saw Brian’s brains and giving spirit. I could tell when he was ready to take his trip that he didn’t want to leave and was almost second guessing how to not be separated from his new lover. Jim really does remind me of a mom. He has a mothering nature and is a natural nurturing person. Scott is easy on the eye and has a carefree persona. However, when he saw the relationship formed by the other three men I saw a tiny bit of jealousy and ache to have the same. When you combine all four men, you have a house filled with love, warmth, and sex hot enough to rock LA to its core. AM Riley had written a wonderful book, and I’m beyond ready to read the sequel.
