Ian Olympus needs to find the chalice that disappeared from his island of Aelynn. The chalice is sacred to his people and ever since it’s disappearance their island has been plagued with problems. But in order to find the chalice, Ian leaves his land and travels to Paris where a revolution is taking place, and where he learns that the chalice was once in the hands of Chantal, the woman he knows is meant for him.

Chantal Orateur Deveau has always loved music and has carried a broken bell around with her ever since it was given to her by a student for payment for his music lessons. But when Chantal’s sister-in-law, Penny, is arrested along with her two children for harboring a defrocked priest, Chantal decides that the only way to save them is to trade the bell to one of the guards for their release. But as soon as she sends the bell for their release, she is visited by a man in monk’s robes asking for the bell saying it is the sacred chalice that his people needs returned to them.

Patricia Rice is a talented author with the ability to take the reader anywhere she wants them to go and have them completely immersed in the world she creates. Her characters in this story were very well defined and provided intrigue as well as passion. The storyline was well plotted and flowed along at a swift pace that made it easy for readers to imagine the scene she created.

Mystic Rider is a fascinating tale with a paranormal touch that readers will not want to miss! 4 Angels.
