Johnny Thomas was a child star seven years ago and he is determined get his name in lights again and he doesn’t care what the cost is. Johnny’s old manager Lou Merrin succeeds in getting him an audition for a leading role in a movie, but there is a catch. Johnny has to keep his sexuality hidden from public knowledge. Johnny is gay and Lou says that gay may be hot now, but it is a quick road to nowhere. Johnny agrees, but later that night he goes out to celebrate and he meets the man of his dreams, Brett Cary. They hit it off and soon become an item, even if their relationship remains hidden. Soon Johnny faces the decision of his life, does he fulfill his old dream or is he willing to look ahead to find a new future. Come watch and follow Johnny as he learns that gold is in the eye of the beholder.

In Beautiful Liar Ms. Snyder has taken the intriguing world of Hollywood and created this fascinating look at the lives, loves and convoluted world of one such man, who is living the lifestyle. Johnny, on the surface appears superficial, but underneath he is looking for what everyone else is, love and acceptance. Brett has many facets to his personality that Johnny is more than willing to explore in intimate detail. It was interesting to see how the lives of the people in Hollywood are controlled by how they are seen by the public, which is one thing that I would personally hate. Lou is a very interesting person who demands that the people he manages follow his guidelines, even when he is willing to help them when things go wrong. Thanks go to Ms. Snyder for this interesting story.
