Men of Tokyo: Sudden Surrender

Men of Tokyo: Sudden Surrender by Sedonia Guillone is the second book in the White Tiger series.

Yuzo is like a bird in a cage, he is the property of Taro Suzuki, a very dangerous yakuza, and his every move is closely monitored. The only thing that has gotten him through the abuse and abject humiliation is the practices he learned from a pamphlet he secretly grabbed on a visit to The White Tiger, an inn where gay men go for relaxation and spiritual rejuvenation, managed by an ex-yakuza Kiku. Kiku takes Yuzo under his protection in spite of the danger to everyone at the White Tiger. Once before Kiku had placed himself in the position of protecting someone from Suzuki and paid the price for it. Kiku takes it upon himself to heal the wounds Yuzo has experienced from his time with Suzuki, but to his surprise he finds the other half of his soul. With all of the danger that Suzuki poses to deal with and Yuzo’s difficult past life, will Kiku and Yuzo find a way to build a life together or will they forever be separated?

Ms. Guillone has continued her incredible White Tiger series with this spell binding book, one that kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page. I enjoy reading about the spiritual ways of the White Tiger and how they affect the lives of the men who embrace its calling. Yuzo and Kiku build a very intense and loving relationship that is enhanced by their spiritual bonding. The men of the White Tiger each have unique stories and add their individual personalities to the plot line. Each book in the White Tiger series gives the reader more of a glimpse into the members past lives and what brought them to where they are today. I will definitely be waiting for the next book in the White Tiger series. Thanks go to Ms. Guillone for another incredible read.
