Vampire Damien has enjoyed his twelve-year friendship with Dr. Wolfrik Usher. Everything changes when a wolf bites Rik and the attraction they have tried to contain comes crashing down on them both. The need for a cure is at hand, while fight for dominance will take place in and out of the bedroom. A war is at hand, and the lines that separate enemies and comrades will fade. After twelve years of friendship, can their new sexual desires damage their relationship or strengthen it?

Mia Watts is definitely going on my list of authors to watch for. Claimed by Darkness delivers action, suspense, chili pepper hot erotic encounters, and centers them all on a prophecy that could mean the beginning of a renewed future or the end of the existence for vampires. Damien has lived for hundreds of years, and has never had a lover affect him as Rik does. Rik is handsome, intelligent, and sexy as sin. Top that off with his lust for Damien and desire to help all who need it, and his appeal goes up quite a few notches. Their chemistry is well balanced even if it's supercharged with over twelve years of lust, and left me baffled how either man was able to walk after their encounters. This is definitely one to read if you want the story hot, but a good plot to go with the encounters.
