Primal Hunger is the first book in Sydney Somers' new Pendragon Gargoyles series, and I loved it. It is a new twist on King Arthur and Avalon. Tristan and his siblings are cursed to turn to stone during the day, except for his brother who has been trapped in his stone form day and night. I like how this is not a traditional shape shifter story. The story line sucked me in, and the romance added something special. The tension between Tristan and Kennedy is delicious. When they finally come together, it feels right, and they don't waste time with regrets. Kennedy is caught in a dangerous position and does some things that might not be smart, but Tristan is there with her no matter what. Their love is steamy, sweet, and romantic and I didn't want Primal Hunger to end. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
