The Reckoners
Lisa McGarrity, also known as Garrie, is a ghost hunter, and she can't figure out what is going on with ghosts lately. She has been doing all she can to help the angry spirits, but she needs a break. That's when mysterious Trevarr shows up asking for her help, without offering many details. Drawn to him, Garrie agrees to help him, but she ends up getting much more than she bargained for.

The Reckoners is an interesting addition to the paranormal genre. It caught my attention right away, but sadly it had trouble holding it. The romance label threw me off. It felt more like an urban fantasy with romantic elements, and it ended up being not what I was expecting. I had high hopes it would be great, but I ended up mostly frustrated. For most of the book Garrie, and the reader, have really no idea what is going on. Unfortunately, I was looking for more romance than there was. I didn't see the connection between Garrie and Trevarr that was supposedly there. The Reckoners started out great but it fell flat towards the end, and became much to confusing. The best part about the book was the characters. I felt like I could really get who these people were, even Trevarr, though we know almost nothing about him. Each person added something to the book, and I enjoyed reading their interactions. Even the ghosts were fun to read.
