Demon Ex Machina
Any mother would have their hands full raising a teenage daughter and a two year old, but Kate Connor has more on her plate with her teenage daughter in training to be a demon hunter, her own demon patrols and her husband wanting to learn everything he can about the demons she fights.

Now as they plan her daughter's birthday party Kate learns that her first husband Eric is possessed by a powerful demon, and she must find a way to release the demon without killing Eric before the demon takes over completely.

Demon Ex Machina is the fifth book in author Julie Kenner's Tales of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom series.

Starting a book that is fifth in a series is usually a bad idea that leaves you grasping to understand what exactly is going on, but Ms. Kenner has done a terrific job of giving enough information that the readers understand what is happening and not feeling like they need to finish all the previous books to have a good grasp of the storyline.

I enjoyed reading Demon Ex Machina. The characters were interesting, the plot was fresh and creative, and it was all delivered with a vivid and humorous tone. 5 Angels
