Double the Heat
Hart and Soul by Lori Foster
After a hot one-night stand he'll never forget and would like to repeat, Hart Winston is back on Lisa Vogle's doorstep to see why she had been trying to get in touch with him while he was away training for the Supreme Battle Championship. He knows it had to of been important since Lisa wasn't the type of woman to chase any man, but getting her to talk to him might prove more of a challenge than he anticipated.

Hart and Soul is a super-sexy, fun tale that gets the book started with a bang. Hart and Lisa have plenty of sparks shooting off between them, and it was fun watching a strong, smart character like Lisa make things very difficult for the lady killer Hart.

Breaking the Ice by Deirdre Martin
Lennie Buckley is living with her aunt Mary in Manhattan while she attends school at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Lennie has always loved clothes and enjoys dressing in anything funky. When she notices Sebastian, one of the sexy hockey players in the bar, alone one night she goes over to talk with him only later realizing that he thinks she is someone else who had answered his Craigslist add for a friend to explore the city with. Lennie goes along with the lie only revealing herself after her and Sebastian start growing close.

Breaking the Ice was an interesting tale with more of a laid back feel to it that for me felt a little out of place with its slower build up. Lennie's creative and off-beat style suited her and gave the story plenty of flair. Sebastian was an old-fashioned type of guy who liked to follow the rules and do all of the things a gentleman would do, but Lennie often broke the rules and made the first moves which seemed to break Sebastian out of his shell.

Double Booked by Elizabeth Bevarly
Amanda Bingham is a workaholic who never seems to find time for herself. She spends most of her time behind her professional appearance doing whatever her boss needs her to do, but when her boss takes a vacation, Amanda lets her friend Kate talk her into taking a vacation at her empty condo in Florida. When Amanda arrives at the condo, she learns that it isn't empty and inhabited by none other than Max Callahan, a man that Amanda can't stand and never gets a long with. Realizing they had been set up, Amanda and Max decided to share the condo while trying to stay out of each other's way, and it works until Max decides that Amanda needs to let her hair down and have a little fun.

Double Booked is a sassy, sweet story that packs a punch. Intriguing characters, sizzling passion and a lush tropical setting merge to take the reader on an unforgettable vacation. Amanda is a straight-laced business woman who has forgotten how liberating it can be to let-go and have a little fun. Max knows how to have a good time and proceeds to show Amanda just how much fun they can have.

Original Zin by Christie Ridgway
John Henry Hudson is on a two-week vacation and under doctors orders to get away, get drunk and get laid. Granted the doctor is a close friend of John Henry's, but the outcome is still the same. John-Henry has become a boring, overworked businessman. That all changes when John-Henry meets the blonde, blue-eyed limo driver Zinnia Friday who sends John Henry's libido into overdrive and seems to work even more than John-Henry.

Original Zin is indeed an original tale with engaging, quirky characters and hot, sexy fun. John Henry takes offence at being boring, so he sets out to make the most of his remaining vacation time. He has to get creative in order to steal time away with Zinnia who is working extra hard to overcome the stigma of being a "flaky Friday." The time that they spend together is both passionate and entertaining as they explore the stunning Napa vineyards.

Double the Heat is a tantalizing book filled with enticing stories from four talented authors. I enjoyed all the stories in this anthology, but my favorite two stories would have to be Hart and Soul and Original Zin. There's something here for every reader to enjoy. 5 Angels!
