Loves Me, Loves Me Knot
Jenna Langan's marriage to vice cop Gage Marshall ended when he revealed that he changed his mind about wanting children. Jenna wants children, and after a night of margaritas with her friends, she decides that she still wants a child with Gage. She just needs him to produce some of his swimmers for her to archive that goal. Knowing Gage wouldn't agree to such a thing, the 3 friends concoct a plan that will hopefully give Jenna what she wants.

Gage Marshall never stopped loving Jenna but had reasons why he no longer wanted children, so he went along with the divorce. When he gets a call from his ex needing his help, he immediately goes to her never expecting what she has planned for him.

First, I have to say that I'm a fan of Heidi Betts and enjoy reading her books, but Loves Me, Loves Me Knot is not one of my favorites. I had a couple problems with the plot that I just couldn't get past and that took away from enjoying the story. The first was that Jenna lied to her ex-husband in order to get him over to her aunt's house, where she was staying, in order to drug and seduce him, so she would hopefully get pregnant without his consent. This just felt very manipulative and deceitful to me.

The second problem I had was when Jenna's friend Grace makes a surprise visit to her boyfriend and finds a woman in his bed, then proceeds to destroy his truck, his personal possessions, and ending when she steals his dog. To me both of these issues just felt so wrong that I couldn't connect with the characters.

With that being said I have to say that once Jenna and Gage started spending time together and communicating their relationship blossomed, and they seemed to find an even playing field that brought them closer together. The story ended without a resolution for Grace and her story will be told in Ms. Betts next book.
