North Storm
It takes a two-week boat trip to get North from his small fishing village to the great city to find Storm, a man who can teach North things no one else can. Storm is a former Man Hand and the best clam diver in the city. These are two things North needs to know in order to teach them to the rest of his village. What North finds isn’t at all what he expects. Unable to understand why Storm does the things he does, it takes a shift of heart for North to fully get to like Storm. And just when he is accomplishing this, North is kidnapped.
North Storm is a dark tale that takes so many different turns it is impossible to predict what may happen next. For the exciting way the city celebrates everything to North’s constantly having to prove himself, Willa Okati certainly leaves you on the edge of your seat with this story. For the most part, it is Storm that leads the way in most things in the story, including the plot line. To this end, he was very unlikable when first introduced; however, he became more endearing when he showed affection to North. Throughout the story, North just tries his hardest to understand why Storm does what he does, and when he finally does understand, the plot takes another unpredictable turn. A solid 5 angels!
