Maggie Donovan has lived a normal life. It may not be exciting, but it was definitely interesting, especially when she was taking care of her sister’s daughter. Nora had gone off to a five day retreat to get her chakra aligned, leaving her twelve-year-old daughter, Eileen, in the care of Maggie. That all changed when Maggie went to pay a visit to her fiancé at his work. Maggie walked in on a demon finishing her meal, which just happened to be her fiancé.

Soon after, Maggie is paid a visit by head fae warrior, Culhane. Culhane, who is easy on the eyes and oozes sex appeal, tells Maggie that she needs to come with him to the planet of Otherworld. She is to destroy the faery queen Mab. Maggie has no desire to take down any faery queen. Plus Maggie has other things on her mind, like making Culhane her boyfriend. What Maggie doesn’t know is that Culhane is not available. He just happens to be attached to Mab.

I loved every moment of this book. Bedeviled is considered more of a urban paranormal than your regular paranormal. The storyline is a little darker and edgier, which I enjoyed. The chemistry Maggie and Culhane shared was out of this world. I do have to admit though that the best part of this whole story was the fact that it didn’t matter if there was a language barrier between Maggie and Culhane, as there is one type of language that everyone can understand that that is …sarcasm. Maureen Child had me spellbound with Bedeviled. This book is so good that you will want to read it in one sitting. I have only one disappointment and that is that I will have to wait til August to read the next book in this series, Beguiled.
