Museums are Murder
Talihina Cates is back again in with more mischief and mayhem in Museums are Murder. This time, Tali is helping out some friends get ready for the grand opening of the Love County Museum. Or course, with Tali you can guarantee that strange thing are going to happen.
All of a sudden, Tali hears a scream. She goes to investigate and almost trips over the body of Tom Scott, the museum's director. Then as if dealing with a murder isn’t bad enough, Tali’s ex comes waltzing back into town.
Aiden Courtland, a vampire, never expected to see Tali again. He thought he was done with her when he walked out of her life. Now he has returned to Love, Texas. He is here to investigate an increase in paranormal activity that involves Tali. Aiden informs Tali that a demon has arrived in town to claim Tali and take her away to another world – permanently. Tali won’t let that happen, so she and Aiden team up to fight the demon and send it back where it came from.
I wanted to read this book because I enjoyed Privy to Murder, the first book that features Tali Cates. Unfortunately I didn’t like this story as much. It was because the length of the book was so short. It seemed like story was suppose to be a full length story and it ended up being shortened. The storyline was good but just too busy. I couldn’t really keep up with all the different characters and their running around. I do have one good comment to say, and that is author Carol Shenold does add some nice humor to these books.
