Cattle Valley: Gone Surfin’
Ever since returning from his annual vacation in Hawaii, Mayor Quade Maddison has been a beast to be around. Everyone can see that something happened that has completely changed the man they know. When Kai Hachiya, a professional surfer and the man responsible for Quade’s ennui, suddenly appears at the Tall Pines Lodge on Christmas Eve, Quade couldn’t be happier. But will the two men from two different worlds be able to reach a compromise so that they can be together, or will it be back to annual visits with misery for the rest of the year?

Gone Surfin’ is book nine in theCattle Valley series and is an excellent addition to this fantastic world that Carol Lynne has created. I love how we are given hints of things to come in previous books in the series but never enough to ruin what is going to happen. I’ve been anxiously awaiting this story for what seems like forever. I love the way Ms. Lynne writes her characters; they are so dynamic and fully-fleshed that I fall in love over and over again with them. I love Cattle Valley and wish I could pack up and move there. It is a town filled with wonderful people and love. After being teased with hints and tidbits about Quade and Kai’s relationship, it was nice to finally be able to have a bird’s eye view. I still giggle thinking about poor tropic-born Kai and his first experience with snow. The chemistry between the two men made the sensual scenes highly erotic and steaming hot, and I could feel the passion. I loved being able to see old friends, and I can’t wait for the next book in this series. So hurry up, Ms. Lynne, I’m going into withdrawals!
