The First Sin
Alexi Steele is part of a covert agency, RED that specializes in sex crimes and human trafficking. When a case she is working on gets one of her fellow agents killed, Alexi gets orders to go undercover into the exclusive Boston clubs that cater to the S&M scene, to discover who is running the operation that kidnaps local girls from the clubs and sells them to the highest bidder.

Special Agent Nick Donovan has recently been assigned to the RED team to help shut down the sex slave operation. The case is close to him as his sister was one of the girls kidnapped, and he’ll do anything possible to get her back and see the men behind the operation brought down.

Alexi and Nick are partnered together to infiltrate the S&M clubs and must play the part to perfection in order to avoid detection but that might be easier said than done since they will be working together in such an intimate and sexual environment.

The First Sin is the first book in Cheyenne McCray’s new Lexi Steele series, and it’s off to a fabulous start! Lexi is a strong, passionate heroine who puts her life on the line for her job every day. She ventures into places and situations that many would run screaming from and does it with style and a vengeance for justice. Nick plays the dominate well, but has a gentleness about him that blends well with the strength he displays.

The First Sin is a dark, edgy story with plenty of action to keep you riveted. There are scenes in this book that are difficult to read, but nothing about human trafficking is easy so it gave the story the threads of realism that make it stand out.

This book is a definite 5 Angel read for me, and I’m sure fans of Ms. McCray and of suspense will agree. I’m eager to read more from the Lexi Steele series.
