Erik the Painter has led a less then exemplary life. Although living the high life is always pleasurable, his talent for painting has always been the best part of his life. That is until he is cursed to paint for all eternity. Now his over-indulged life has cost him a heavy price, and for four hundred years he has paid that price. Except for one night a year when he can give his soul and his body to someone else. When Jason knocks on his door, Erik is not surprised. What does surprise Erik is that Jason is different.

A Painter’s Price is a bit confusing in the beginning. I wasn’t completely sure why the mage cursed Erik. However, all became clear at the end when the mage reappeared. The middle was the most intriguing. Jason’s almost obsession with Erik the Painter leads him on a journey to find the famous painter. When he does and instant attraction hits him, he is surprised at his reaction. The rest of what plays out between the two men is just yummy. I would have liked a bit more on Jason’s discovery of his own sexuality, but Erik’s tutoring is just delicious. I will definitely be reading more of Kira Stone’s work in the future!
