When city-boy Mason Palmer’s car breaks down in the small two-bit town of Dixon, Alabama the last thing he expects is to be stuck there for a solid week. When the most irritating and the most gorgeous guy ever is his mechanic, he’s conflicted with mixed emotions. For Beau Gaines it is instant attraction and when Beau sees something he wants he finds a way to get it. But the two men are very different people with very different ways of living life. Will these differences get in the way of what they both want or will opposites attract?

After reading A Tender Rough I want to go out and snatch up anything and everything Fae Sutherland has ever written. Without beating the reader about the head with too much emotion Ms. Sutherland creates the perfect balance. One can’t help but get absorbed in the plot and characters. If you don’t end up wanting to be like Beau by the end of the story, sharing his life views, then you certainly want to be near him. Mason’s slightly tortured, but not too tortured, soul melts your heart. Point me in the direction of Dixon, Alabama and I’m there! This story will make you believe in love and goodness in others.
