Kelvin’s little pawn shop has been in the family for three generations now. He loves his job and especially loves the stories behind every piece of jewelry he takes in. So when sexy cowboy Cody Mack walks through his front door, he’s interested in his story and a lot more. Cody inherited his grandfather’s things upon his death. Especially interesting to Cody is a certain belt buckle. Cody’s grandfather loved the Navajo who crafted the buckle every much, if the love letters left behind were any indication. Cody’s mission to track down the buckle-maker and return it leads him to Kelvin. And to love?

Buckle Up! is a heartwarming story about a man down on his luck who has a love for a good story. Cody’s story is a good one that I would like to know more about. Who doesn’t love a cowboy? Cody’s mission is honorable and makes a person melt just from that alone. One can easily see why Kelvin likes him so much. Since Kelvin’s pawn shop is the catalyst in which these two men found each other, I would have liked for more scenes to have taken place there. The slow ease with which the men take in their romance is perfectly written to suit both Cody and Kelvin. I’m a big fan of Julia Talbot’s and look forward to more from her.
