Torrid Teasers 54

Torrid Teasers Volume 54 features two short stories.

The first story is about Rapunzel. You all know the story about Rapunzel and how she waits high up in the tower for her prince to rescue her. Well, in Rapunzel’s Rapture the story is still the same but with a few twists.

Rapunzel has been waiting a very long time for someone to come save her. Do you know how hard it is to find the right man? Well, during this time, a girl has got to find something to occupy her time ‘til then. So Rapunzel decides to have fun with the men who come for her. ‘Til one day a tall, handsome man with long chestnut hair and a scar on one cheek appears. His name is Kelsey, and he is a robber. Will he be the one for Rapunzel?

While I thought this was a fun, modern take on a favorite fairy tale, there was just one little problem: just when the story started to really pick up, it ended. I have to admit that I never pictured Rapunzel as the dominatrix type. The story was getting good, but the sex scene was over in a flash. So quick that if you blinked you would miss it. This is my first time trying a Torrid Teaser book, and I just expected a little more, as there were so many volumes written. Overall, though, I have to say that Rapunzel’s Rapture was a good story.

The second story features Elliot, who happens to be Cinderella’s twin brother. Surprise, I didn’t know Cinderella had a twin brother either. This is why I love reading all the different updated fairy tale stories that have been popping up everywhere. You never know what you are going to discover from reading these books.

We start off with Cinderella having moved away to live with her prince. Elliot is left at home as his evil step-mother and step-sisters go away on a vacation for a few days. Elliot is just minding his own business when someone knocks on the door. Elliot answers, it and there on the door step is the most handsome knight Elliot has ever seen. His name is Sir Mathias or Matt for short. Soon Matt and Elliot have their hands all over each other.

Male/Male stories are usually not my cup of tea. I more often than not stay away from these types of books, but the few times I have stumbled upon one of these stories accidentally, I have found that I did not mind them. I liked that I had never heard about Elliot before and found out the reason why at the beginning of this story. I loved the fact that Elliot had a fairy godfather watching over him. Also, who’s to say that only princesses can have happy ending? I appreciated Erin O’Niall’s take on what happened after I thought the fairy tale had ended and the characters got their happy ending.
