Back to Black Point

Back to Black Point by A.J. Llewellyn and D.J. Manly is the sequel to their earlier story Black Point.

Matt and Thomas are both erotic romance writers who, against all odds, met and fell in love. Matt had always been a fan of Rose Carter, but it wasn’t until later that his favorite erotic author was Thomas. When they finally met, their attraction was instantaneous and combustible, but when it was time to rejoin the world, Matt left Canada feeling that Thomas wasn’t quite sure about their feelings for each other. Now Matt is home in California with nothing except a brief email to keep him warm at night. All Matt wants is to go back to their special time at Black Point where they were the world to each other. Matt gets a visit from his Cole, his brother Ryan’s husband, and their cute daughter Daphne. Things in Cole’s family are not perfect either. Ryan was found messing around with a mutual acquaintance, Christian, who is also a romance novelist and is writing a series with Thomas. The situation gets sticky with Matt apart from Thomas with a home wrecker in their midst. To make matters even crazier, Matt gets a call from an executive at Paramount, Carly Ann Westaway, to discuss something, but with Carly one can never tell. Matt decides to drop everything and go get his man in Canada. Will Thomas be overjoyed to see him or will Matt get a rude awakening? What did Carly want in her meeting with Matt? Will things straighten out between Ryan and Cole?

Back to Black Point is a riveting story with many characters and plot twists that hold the reader spellbound from the start. The intertwined relationships between the characters keep them hopping from one problem to another. I loved how Matt moves heaven and earth to be with Thomas and isn’t willing to give up in spite of the circumstantial evidence to the contrary. The love scenes between Matt and Thomas are inspiring and scorching hot. The difficulties between Cole and Ryan are heartbreaking, but the way they dragged Matt and Thomas into the problems is very amusing at times. The way they are interrupted on their honeymoon is ludicrous to say the least. I have many questions about the cast of characters that have yet to be answered. I will be waiting for the next book in the Black Point series.
