Mele Kalikimaka

Mele Kalikimaka by A.J. Llewellyn is the continuing story of the lives of Kimo and Lopaka. Kimo is a very powerful Kahuna, or high priest, and he and his husband Lopaka have been through many difficulties together. Overcoming man-made and paranormal obstacles they have forged a life gathering friends and family together with the Goddess Pele’s support to create love and laughter. They have been together a year, and each wants to make this Christmas season memorable for the other. Last year, Lopaka created The Twelve Days of Christmas to show Kimo what the holiday was all about. Now, with all the children, it will be even more of a challenge to formulate a plan for another incendiary Christmas gift to each other. At times Kimo is more like a child than even the children. When he calls Lopaka a "fuddy duddy" it doesn’t go over well, until Kimo uses his overwhelming sexual charm to persuade Lopaka that taking part in a circle jerk is just to show him off to the other men. With all of the children, relatives, and friends around, will Kimo and Lopaka find time to strengthen their love for one another? If Kimo has any say in it, it will definitely be a Mele Kalikimaka or Merry Christmas for everyone.

Mr. Llewellyn has added another creative and very hot story to his Phantom Lover series. I enjoy how Kimo always manages to overcome every obstacle with Lopaka’s love and support. Lopaka finally has everything he ever wanted: the hottest man alive and children to fill his everyday with fun and laughter. Lopaka and Kimo come together with love devotion and a ton of paranormal heat for the enjoyment of the reader. The setting of the story in Hawaii brings forth the culture and traditions of the Hawaiian people. I love watching the children as they grow and all the mischief they get into. I look forward to more books on the lives of the characters in the Phantom Lover series.
