PsyCop 5: Camp Hell

Camp Hell by Jordan Castillo Price is the fifth book in the PsyCop series.

Victor Bayne is a well known level five psychic among the people in the psychic world, but the knowledge isn’t always complimentary. Victor has little to no memory of the time he was in training at Camp Hell, the infamous and terrifying training ground where individuals with psychic abilities were frequently used a guinea pigs for testing with new drugs. Victor works in the PsyCop division of a police department and has had a few partners. Unfortunately, one of Victor’s old partners, Roger Burke, is not only working for a group who are monitoring individuals noted to have various psychic powers but has also been working with another unbalanced doctor feeding Victor with untested drugs to boost his powers. Will Victor give into his desperation to regain his memories, or is there another way for him to regain them? Will Victor and his boyfriend Jacob find a way to overcome these obstacles and keep their love alive?

This is one story about the lives of Victor and Jacob that I for one have been waiting for. It is fascinating to watch how Victor works his way through all of the obstacles and somehow keeps his love alive with Jacob. Jacob has many depths to his personality that help him accept all the difficulties that occur in Victor’s life. Dealing with being watched, having their lives bugged, ghosts, and the danger of an unknown group keeping tabs on Victor, keep Victor and Jacob guessing as they try to stay together. Thanks go to Ms. Price for this spell binding addition to the PsyCop series. I hope that there will be more books in the PsyCop series.
