Seventh Inning Stretch

Seventh Inning Stretch by J. M. Snyder is part of her ongoing series The Powers of Love.

Matt and Vic are complete opposites, but the love they share is all-consuming. The only problem they have is that every time they make love, Matt’s semen endows Vic with superhuman powers. In the past, boyfriends have taken advantage of Matt to keep these powers, but Vic loves Matt in spite of them and all the problems they cause. At Matt’s job, their club has been chosen to take part in a baseball tournament where all the profits go to a local hospice. Matt gets chosen to be captain of one of the two teams and he plans on asking Matt to join his team until he realizes his team is only for staff. Vic was asked to join the member's team, even though he usually doesn‘t take part in team sports. After Matt and Vic decide to stay on the teams, Matt begins thinking that their love-making may give Vic an unfair advantage. He decides that they should abstain until after the weekend to be completely fair. Vic can never say no to Matt, so in spite of his reservations, Vic agrees to go along with Matt’s suggestion. The only problem is that these are two to guys who can’t keep their hands off each other. Now they have to deny any physical manifestations of their love, and this gives you a story with love, heat and hilarity.

Ms. Snyder has continued her incredible series with this unique plot that puts Vic and Matt in another interesting and distinctive situation. Matt has always had to deal with not knowing if people want to be with him or just be with him to gain the powers. Vic wants only to be with Matt and to give Matt anything that his heart desires. Together they have a love that has withstood many obstacles that would have destroyed most relationships. Now their biggest obstacle may be Matt himself. Can Matt overcome his failings in the past to look forward to a bright future full of love and laughter? I look forward to the next story in The Powers of Love series.
